The timing could not have been any better. Just days after Cuba announced it had a toilet paper shortage, Cuba comes up with the perfect solution:

Cubans accustomed to hourslong speeches, thousand-word essays and lengthy interviews can now get Fidel Castro at a glance, thanks to a new dictionary of El Comandante’s teachings.

Yes folks, now Cubans will be able to wipe to their backsides’ content. And they’ll be doing it with what is probably the best item on earth for wiping themselves with.

Fidel Castro recently accused the U.S. of using "torture." So, which of the following is worse?

  • Putting political prisoners into cells so small they can't stand, feeding them rancid, disgusting food (if and when they get fed at all), beating them and urinating on them when they're thirsty. (70%, 14 Votes)
  • Feeding Muslim prisoners healthy, nutritious food 3 times a day (prepared under religious guidelines), providing them with copies of the Koran, allowing them to pray and practice their religion. (30%, 6 Votes)

Walter Kendall Myers, a 72-year-old former State Department worker and his 71-year-old wife Gwendolyn were arrested today for spying for Cuba for about 30 years. They were “true believers” who even met in person with Fidel Castro in the 1990′s. America-hating leftists doing what they do best. Reportedly, Myers was privy to a bunch of sensitive and even classified info on Cuba while he worked at Foggy Bottom.

Gateway Pundit has a lot more, including news that a Walter Myers from a DC suburb donated to the Obama campaign.

Look up the phrase “useful idiots” and I’m sure you’ll find these tools’ photos. No doubt the left will begin its usual talking points when Castro apologists are caught spying: deny it vehemently at first and when the evidence becomes too overwhelming to deny, shift and claim they were justified in their spying and/or the U.S. does it too so therefore Cuba has the “right” to spy on us. Too bad we don’t do to spies in this country what countries like, oh, Cuba do to spies when they catch them.

Was Obama set up deliberately by Raul Castro to slapped by Fidel?

  • No, Raul didn't plan it, he was drunk and didn't know what he was saying so Fidel had to correct him. (29%, 4 Votes)

First, there was this offensive salvo launced, as noted in Gateway Pundit:

Back in February Fidel Castro was awarded the Computer Youth Club Award for being the father of this movement in Cuba.

Also awarded the prize was his brother and fellow tyrant Raul Castro.

Then, there was this, courtesy of Babalu Blog: Cuban bloggers, an endangered species?

Cuban blogger Yoani Sanchez has been attacked today by THE official Cuban journalist, Rosa Miriam Elizalde in Cubadebate site. That’s not the first time, but is a good example of the official point-of-view about independent blogging in Cuba.

Now there’s this, courtesy of the Sun-Sentinel in South Florida: Cuba cutting Internet access :

“Internet use is only for foreigners for the time being,” said a worker at the Hotel Nacional’s business center. “According to a new order from ETECSA [Cuba's telecom monopoly] only foreigners can surf the web at hotels.”

But hey, let’s just lift the embargo and everything will be alright!

Remember those Castro apologists from CONgress who visited Cuba a few weeks to kiss Castro’s rear end? Well, the sister of one prominent Cuban dissident hasn’t forgotten.

Berta Antúnez, sister of Afro-Cuban dissident and hunger striker Jorge Luis ”Antúnez” Garcia Perez, visited with staffers from the Congressional Black Caucus and hand delivered a scathing letter from her brother, according to the Miami Herald:

”While you were meeting with the Castro brothers,” he wrote to the members of Congress, “only 300 kilometers away from the capital, our home and the five protesters who remain within it were subject to a brutal siege by the combined forces of the national and political police.”

I suppose to the CBC, the color red is more important than the color black when they so quickly applaud the so-called “accomplishments” of the Castro regime while they turn a blind eye to the abuses of all Cubans under Castro–especially black Cubans.

So many of us Cuban-Americans KNEW that when Raul Castro said he’d be willing to “talk” about anything with Obama, he was just blowing smoke:

“Affirming that the president of Cuba is ready to discuss any topic with the president of the United States expresses that he’s not afraid to broach any subject,” Fidel Castro wrote of his 77-year-old brother, who succeeded him 14 months ago.

“It’s a sign of bravery and confidence in the principles of the revolution,” he said.

“Nobody should assume that he was talking about pardoning those sentenced in March 2003 and sending all of them to the United States, if the country were willing to liberate the five Cuban anti-terrorist heroes,” Castro wrote.

We knew it, we knew it, we knew it.
