Two words: tough s–t
That’s my message to those upset that Luis Posada Carriles has been freed from jail on bond. This is the UNITED STATES, where you are presumed INNOCENT until proven guilty. This is NOT Castro’s Gulag (AKA Cuba), where:
- Even if you are a child, you can be murdered simply for trying to leave the country with your parents
- You can languish in prison for years or even decades just for criticizing the government
- You are subject to telephone threats, prison, or so-called “acts of repudiation” just for expressing your views or reporting the truth about Cuba
Don’t like the fact that Luis Posada Carriles is free on bond today? Four more words: Go take a hike.
